This announcement by the government is really good news for the Muslim community in India. For Muslims, Hajj is the holiest place in their religion that must be visited once in a lifetime. The government has recently started the online process of registration of citizens to go on Haj pilgrimage. The online applications will be accepted till 5th February 2023, but due to the pandemic, strict rules and regulations will be followed by the pilgrims regarding the pandemic.

Haj
Hajj is a holy place for all the Muslims around the world and they want to visit this place once in their lifetime. This place gives Muslim pilgrims an opportunity to be closer to God by visiting this place as they believe that Hajj follows the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad.
Haj pilgrimage eligibility and cost
Haj applicants should read the eligibility guidelines to know whether they are eligible to perform Haj or not
- Citizens who have performed Haj before are prohibited to apply again
- Pilgrim should be physically and mentally fit
- Women in advanced stage of pregnancy and people with long-term illness are not allowed to go on Haj
- Criminals and international criminals caught by the government are also not allowed to go on Haj
- Applicants are required to pay Rs 300 and it is non-refundable
- Only Muslims can apply for Haj pilgrimage on the official website
This year, due to the pandemic, the number of pilgrims going on Haj will be less than last year. The cost of Haj pilgrimage may also increase Rupees Rs 2,50,000 to Rs 3,75,000 As announced by CEO Dr MA Khan.

how to apply for hajj online 2023
Follow these steps to complete the application for Haj registration
- Go to New Registration on the official website
- Select the application option from ‘Haj Form’
- A screen will appear and click on ‘New User Registration’
- Fill the registration form with required details
- Applicants should choose a strong password
- Enter the security code and double check your details
- click on submit button
- On successful submission, a system generated OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number
- Activate User-ID by entering OTP and then click on “Submit” option
- Enter registered mobile number and password
- Fill the form with required details
- click on the right category
- Select number of adults
- Click on the Next button
- Fill all the details and especially those marked with *
- After entering all the details click on ‘Save and Next’
- Upload the required documents which are required
- Select Pilgrim from the drop-down menu
- Click on browse and upload documents
- Photographs of JPG/JPEG format and 10 kb to 100 kb as given
- After selecting your documents and files click on the upload button
- Pay through the given online options
- Click on Final Submission
- Take printout of application form
