I was very impressed when a few days back my form trainer told me that you have been selected to deliver the lecture 26 January, I am excited but also a little worried because I have never given a speech before in my college life. You all know that today we have gathered here to celebrate the auspicious day of Republic Day which we also know as “democracy dayAnd we all know that on this day in 1950 our entire constitution came into force. However, it was adopted on 26 November 1949 under the chairmanship of our beloved Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and we all recognize him as the father of the Indian Constitution, one of the tallest leaders of the present day India at that time.

It is a gazetted tour but colleges are open to create a lot of activities in their colleges like we are doing. Students performed many cultural things and sang patriotic songs to remember our freedom fighters and celebrate this great day. Just as our most important sirs hoist the national flag, the President of India hoists the flag on the streets, and each year he invites special chief visitors from specific countries. Our President addressed the nation on the eve of Republic Day. The President of India presents important awards like Ashok Chakra and Kirti Chakra to Indian soldiers and gallantry awards to citizens of India.
When our constitution came into force we had some common problems and even today we are facing some common problems like cleanliness, education, unemployment, and many more, but to solve them the government has launched Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Padhao Started some schemes like save girl child, etc. Skill India, Make in India, and many more but we cannot completely rely on the shoulders of our government. We have to do something for our country and we all have to take a step to make it a better and stronger nation.
So let us take a pledge that we all will maintain peace and harmony and keep in mind the sacrifices of our freedom fighters so that we can pay the price of freedom gained because of their sacrifices.
